Charles Wolfe

Head of the Division of Health and Social Care Research, King's College London School of Medicine, Professor of Public Health and Head of Department of Primary Care & Public Health Sciences. Charles Wolfe trained in Medicine at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1978. After two years in general practice, he went on to train in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, obtaining the MRCOG in 1985. He subsequently studied for an MD in neuroendocrine aspects of pregnancy as a research Fellow at St Thomas’ Hospital. He then trained in Public Health at St Thomas’ and became a Senior Lecturer/honorary Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ in 1992 and was awarded a personal Chair in 2002. He then went on to become Head of the cross College Research Division of Health and Social Care in 2004 and Head of the Department of Public Health Sciences in 2006, and Department of Primary Care & Public Health Sciences in 2010.
