Dr Chang Ming Li is the Professor, the Dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering and the Director of Institute of Materials Science and Devices in Suzhou University of Science and Technology, China since 2018. He worked with US Motorola as a distinguished technical member and Science Advisory Board Member (1994-2003). Later he became the Professor, Head of Bioengineering Division and Director of Centre for Advanced Bionanosystems in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2003-2012). Then he joined Southwest University (China) as Dean of School of Materials and Energies as well as the Director of the Chongqing Key Lab of Advanced Materials and energies (Chia, 2012-2017). He is also the Australia National University Craig Visiting Professor. He received several prestigious awards such as National Science and Technology Award of China, Medical Science and Technology Awards of China, Motorola Master Innovator Award and Nanyang Innovation and Research Award. His research interests are functional materials, green energies and biosensors/lab-on-chips. He has published 900+ peer-reviewed journal papers, 8 book chapters and holds 381 patents with 60,000+ citations/H-index of 114. Since 2004 he has been the World’s Most Highly Cited Researcher. He currently serves as member of Advisory Board for Nanoscales (RSC), Joule (Cell) and Chief Editor of Materials Report: Energy. He has been awarded the fellow of American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, the Fellow of RSC, the Foreign Fellow of Russian Academy of Engineering, and the Foreign Fellow of European Academy of Science.
