Brahim LAKHRISSI is born in Salé, Morocco. He is a Professor of Chemistry at Ibn Tofaïl University and he is a specialist in organic synthesis and surfactants.Complexation, Corrosion inhibition, and Synthesis of bioactive molecules that can be used against bacteria, viruses, parasites and cancer. In 1988, he defended his doctoral thesis at the University of Nancy-1 (France) on the topic “Synthesis and analytical study of collectors adapted to the ionic flotation of gallium in strongly alkaline medium,” under the supervision of Professor Philippe Coutrot. In 2003, he defended his doctoral thesis at Ibn Tofaïl University (Morocco) on the topic "Synthesis of new glucoamphiphilic derivatives of 1,5-benzodiazepine-2,4-dione and benzimidazolone". Evaluation of the surfactant, liquid crystal and complexing characteristics”. He has published more than 174 articles, Reviews, Chapters in international journals, Books and Patents (See AU-ID Scopus : ("Lakhrissi, Brahim" 14424353000) (Scopus h-index: 52 and 6,724 citations by 2,870 documents). He joined the Department of Chemistry at Ibn Tofaïl University as an Assistant Professor in 1989. He was promoted to the rank of Professor of Higher Education (full Professor) in 2003. He directed the Agro-Resources Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Sciences, Ibn Tofail University from September 2004 to December 2005, and then the Agro-Resources and Process Engineering Laboratory of the same Faculty from January 2005 to December 2009. 2005 to December 2009. He was appointed Head of the Chemistry Department from 2014 to 2017. Since 2019, he is an Expert evaluator affiliated to the National Center for Scientific and Technical Research – Morocco, and Expert evaluator for several international scientific journals since 2012.
