托科维宁·安德烈

Born in Moscow in 1953. Graduated from the Physical Department of Moscow University in 1977, PhD in 1980, DrSci degree in 1992. A.Tokovinin worked at the Sternberg Astronomical Institude in Moscow till 1998 on astronomical instrumentation, site testing, observations and statistics of multiple stars. Since 2001 he works at the Cerro Tololo Interamerican Observatory in Chile. He leads the development of the laser adaptive system for the SOAR 4-m telescope, also designed the high-resolution echelle spectrometer CHIRON and developed several instruments for characterization of optical turbulence.
