Alex Yeshaneh is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Midwifery at Injibara University. With a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from Arba Minch University and an MSc in Clinical Midwifery, Alex has developed extensive expertise in maternal and child health. Alex has published over 30 research articles, completed three community service projects, and secured two research grants. As a researcher, Alex focuses on maternal and child health, particularly sleep quality and pregnancy outcomes, as well as the impact of midwifery-led care on maternal and neonatal outcomes in high-risk pregnancies. Beyond academia, Alex serves as a research advisory committee member for the Ethiopian Midwives Association and is an editorial board member for BMC Public Health. Alex also contributed as an evaluation research assistant for the Saving Little Lives project. With a strong passion for improving maternal and neonatal health, Alex continues to engage in impactful research and mentorship to advance the field of midwifery and evidence-based care.
