My research field is in Elementary Particle Physics. Since 2010, I have been working with CMS experiment at Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in CERN Geneva. In physics data analysis for the detection of the particles, we (me with other CERN colleagues) did several measurements of quarkonium production [Prompt and non-prompt J/psi, psi(2S) mesons and Upsilon] in Pb+Pb and p+p collisions at the center of mass energy √sNN = 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV. The measurements are based on data, recorded with the CMS detector, from the p+p/Pb+Pb beam run at the years 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016.
Experimental Data analysis with help of Monte Carlo simulation:
1) I have contributed largely in the measurements of charmonia. This was the first measurement of the prompt and non-prompt J/psi mesons via their decay into muon pairs in Pb+Pb and p+p collisions at center of mass energy √sNN = 2.76 TeV with CMS experiment.
2) In the Upsilon analysis, we reported the first time a sequential suppression of the Upsilon states in heavy-ion collisions, at 2.76 TeV Pb+Pb collisions by the CMS experiment. A strong signature of the QGP formation.
3) The measurements of psi(2S) and J/psi yields and their ratios (double ratio) have been done with PbPb data (2011) and pp data (2013) at √sNN =2.76 TeV (This is my PhD thesis). The first observation of the psi(2S) meson in heavy-ion collisions was presented, published in PRL.
4) Beginning of post-doctoral fellowship at Ecole Polytechnique, Paris (Oct/2015).
5) Earning the Marie-Curie scholarship via the PRESTIGE France (April/2016) and Involvement in many Physics data analyses.
Phenomenology work: A theoretical modeling of QGP and sequential suppression of quarkonia states was developed. The model calculation matches with empirical data
collected at LHC. The model calculation matches with empirical data collected at LHC Experiments CMS/ALICE.
